Solvents

solvant is a substance, liquid or supercritical at its operating temperature, that has the property to dissolve, dilute or extract other substances without modifying them chemically and without being modified by them.  

Ethyl acetate (ETH25849)
PTo remove nail polish and glue solvent.

Acetone (ACE00630)
Used to dissolve varnishes and glues, and to remove paint.

Benzyl alcohol (BEN235498)
In epoxy paints, printing screen regeneration systems, paint removers, and graffiti removal systems and paint application equipment; in textile dyes.

Ethyl alcohol or ethanol 2A (ALC212205)
Raw material in the synthesis of chemicals; solvent in laboratories, in the paint industry, varnishes, inks, plastic materials, adhesives, cosmetics and pharmaceutical products. Manufacturing of cleaning products and insecticides. Disinfectant.

Isopropyl alcohol (ISO32670)
Available in several concentrations.

A solvent for waxes, oils and resins. In varnish, paint, primer coat, ink, stripper and adhesive formulations. Food and pharmaceutical industries, to extract and purify different natural products. Antiseptic and disinfectant. Household products. Cosmetics.  

Mineral spirit with an odor or not (MIN41175)/ISOPAR (ISO37850)/VMP Naphta (VMP78855)
Paint thinner. Combustible used in gas lamps or scent burners (Berger lamps, Pigeon lamps). Fire eaters use it.

Hexane  (HEX29496)
For degreasing, cleaning or any other use, in printing, in the fields of textile, clothing and shoes. Component of rubber glues or other adhesives used for leather, rubber or plastics. In sealants, paints and lacquers.

Methanol (MET34922)
Methanol, like alcohol, has several uses. It is an industrial solvent that is used as an antifreeze in vehicles, in camping fuel, in solvents for paints, inks, dyes, resins, adhesives and biofuels. 

Methyl ethyl ketone (MEK)   (MET40005)
Its dissolving power allows it to dissolve gums, resins, and several synthetic polymers, greases and oils. 

Methyl isobutyl ketone (MIBK) (MET40215)
Lacquer solvent (cellulosic, polyurethane). Paint, varnish, stain remover, cleaning agent, adhesive, pesticide solvent, etc. Extraction solvent of pharmaceutical products, gums, resins and nitrocellulose.

Toluene (TOL34771)
Manufacturing component in paints, varnishes, lacquers, waxes and inks (printing); adhesives and glues; and leather tanning.

Xylene (XYL80234)
Used by the printing, rubber and leather industries. Xylene is also used for cleaning, as a pesticide and paint thinner, as well as in varnishes and inks.
